Select Language

WebMeeting123 is Unicode compatible and can support any language. Currently, only a few languages are available. New languages will be added in the near future.

You can choose from any available language by clicking "Select Language" under the "File" menu. You can also load a language from a WebMeeting123 language file (.mo) on your computer. See the next section about how to create a WebMeeting123 language file.

New Language File

WebMeeting123 allows you to create your own language files. Before you can create a new language file, you need to download and install "poEdit" from http://www.poedit.org/download.php. WebMeeting123 uses poEdit as its language editor.

To create a new language file, select "New Language File..." from the File menu. You will be asked to enter a file name for the language file. WebMeeting123 will create a ".po" file and automatically launch poEdit to allow you to edit the file. You can set the language type of the file in poEdit by clicking "Settings" under the "Catalog" menu. Fill in the "Language" field in the "Project info" tab.

To translate the text in the language file, enter the translated text into the lower-left corner box of the poEdit window. Click "Save" under the File menu in poEdit to save the changes you make to the language file. A ".mo" file of the same file name will be created if this is the first time you save the language file. The .mo file is needed by WebMeeting123 when you select to load from a language file. You must load the language file into WebMeeting123 for it to take effect.

If you want to edit the language file after you have created it, simply locate the .po file on your computer and double-click it to launch poEdit. Make sure to save the changes. The file must be reloaded by WebMeeting123 for the changes to take effect.

Notes:

  1. Both the .po and the .mo files need to be in the same folder and have the same file name when you load the .mo file with WebMeeting123. If the .po file is missing, WebMeeting123 will ask you for the language type of the .mo file you are loading.
  2. The new language file is created based on your current language setting in WebMeeting123. For instance, if you current language is French, a new language file will be created from the French language file. This allows you to start your translation from an already-translated language file. Note that this only applies to pre-define languages and not user-defined ones.
